Acrylic on canvas, 30" x 30" – SOLD.
It was a cool and cloudy day. The trees had just begun to change color. Above the small town of El Portal, just outside of Yosemite, CA, I began the painting of the distant hills and the copse of trees perched conspicuously upon them. The sun was a tiny pale white smear in the grey expanse. It was quiet. It was easy to be inspired by the autumn colors against the yellow and lavender hills.
