In 2011, the tree for the White House came from Stanislaus National Forest and part of the festivities included California Shines Capitol Christmas Tree – a “call to artists” to represent the tree. While neither of my pieces were chosen, the experience was gratifying since the results would not have been realized and executed otherwise.
